How to Donate to the
William R. & Esther V. Ellis
Scholarship Fund
The William R. & Esther V. Ellis Scholarship
Fund has been created to Honor the memories of
two of Miami's Pioneers, William R. (Bill)
and his beautiful wife, Esther V. Ellis.
Bill was a well known and loved CPA here
in Miami, who had his own firm in downtown
Miami for over forty years. Esther was the
"jewel" on his arm. She was Valedictorian
of her High School and was voted one of the
"Most Beautiful Activists" in Miami
having been on the board of the March of
Dimes, the Dade-County Safety Council and
many other Community Organizations. She was
also a singer, songwriter, recording artist
and a film producer. (You can read her biography
here: Esther Ellis) Bill and Esther were great supporters of
the arts, especially music, and believed
in the value of education. You can watch
a video of their life together by clicking

"You Were Meant to be Mine"
Over the past twenty years, many students
from the ages of 3 years of age to 19 years
of age have been recipients of this wonderful
scholarship fund enabling them to attend
the University of Miami's "Guitar, Bass-Guitar, and Drumset" Camps and helping many to pursue dreams
that might not have happened otherwise, including
studying with our Star Faculty and developing
the skills needed for college and university
entrance auditions!
The Scholarship Fund also helps financially
needy students who are a part of the Classical
Guitar Program at the University of Miami's
School of Music.
The Scholarship Fund is administered by the
University of Miami and overseen by
Dr. Rene Gonzalez, head of the Classical
Guitar Program in the School of Music.
