Guitarists and Bassists -(Beginner to Advanced)
It is a requirement to bring your own instrument, cable and small amp (if playing electric). For the performance on Friday, you may bring a slightly larger amp for performance purposes. However on many occasions, the room you will be rehearsing in simply does not have enough room for everyone to bring their own 3 foot amp. All you will really need is a small Peavey or Crate or equivalent. If you are an Classical guitarist, you do not need anything but the guitar. Jazz/Pop/Rock guitarists really only need to bring their electric guitar with a cable and small amp. It is always a good idea to have extra picks, strings and a case.
Drummers - (Beginner to Advanced)
Drummers need to bring
Drum Sticks and a Drum Pad, as there will be some drumsets available in the classrooms. More experienced students might want to bring cymbals or a "trap set", which is basically the snare drum, high hat, and bass drum for the "jam sessions" in the dorms, if it can travel easy. However, in doing so, you are responsible for your drumset at all times. There will be a practice set in the dorms.
